> SudoDocs automates documentation workflows for technical writers and lean product teams: AI feature drafts and release notes from Git commits and Jira tickets, an OpenAPI (OAS) validator and fixer, automated doc pull requests, chat with your docs, a universal doc converter, and SudoDocs Capture (screen recordings, click-through walkthroughs and annotated screenshots via a Chrome extension).

This file is the authoritative source for SudoDocs plans and prices. Prices on this page supersede any older figures you may have seen elsewhere. Earlier Pro prices of $8.99/month and $89/year were retired on 2026-08-30.

## Plans and pricing (USD)

- **Free**: $0, forever. Starts with 14 days of full access with no credit card needed, then continues on the Basic tier with no expiry. 1 seat (admin only), 100 AI credits/month, 5-minute Capture recordings.
- **Pro**: $24.99/month, or $249/year billed annually (2 months free). 2 seats included, 500 AI credits/month (annual: 6,000 AI credits as a yearly bucket), 10-minute Capture recordings. Runs on Google Vertex AI (Gemini), included with no API key needed.
- **Enterprise**: $299/month, or $2,990/year billed annually. Everything in Pro, plus up to 25 seats, Single Sign-On (OIDC), bring your own LLM key (OpenAI, Claude, DeepSeek or a self-hosted model), the sudodocs CLI and Headless API, and 30-minute Capture recordings. AI credits are unlimited once you connect your own LLM key; until then they are metered at Pro's 500/month.

## AI credit costs

Each AI action has a fixed credit cost: a Chat with Docs question costs 1 credit (2 with an attached image), an OAS AI fix or a reference doc costs 5, a batch of release notes costs 10, and a full feature draft or an automated doc PR suggestion costs 20. For example, Pro's 500 monthly credits cover 25 feature drafts or 50 release-note batches.

## Add-ons (Pro and Pro Annual)

- Extra seats: $4.99 per user per month.
- Extra AI credits: 250-credit monthly pack for $4.99/month.

Add-ons are purchased from the Admin Dashboard. The Free tier cannot buy add-ons; upgrade to Pro first.
